DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Companies might find it overwhelming to initiate a Digital Transformation. The possibilities are endless, technological advances are happening faster than ever, so where to begin?
The trick is to keep it fairly simple and begin by assessing where the company is at its present state of Digital readiness. From there inspiration can come from many sources, but key is to really work in senior management and preferably the Board of Directors, to fully agree on the course, meaning what would create the most value.
The transformation should be seen as an evolutionary path towards excellence, where all the activities are prioritized based on their potential value and balanced against available resources and readiness.
This path can be broken into steps to ensure focus and increase likeliness of success. Each phase should again be broken down, estimated, planned and executed with sponsorship from senior mgmt.
IoT - INTERNET OF THINGS
Need someone on your Board of Directors with competencies related to IoT - Internet of Things devices, or any other kind of Electronics for that matter? then you have come to the right place.
Internet of Things, Smart Cities, Smart Homes, Industry 4.0, Big Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cognitive technologies, etc., are all very nice buzzwords or buzz phrases, but what do they mean? and how can we accelerate growth in our company from using them you might ask yourselves. Well let me help you turn these catchy phrases into revenue.
Devices in the Sub-Metering domain, Smart Homes, Smart Cities or IoT, poses challenges that are specific to their usage. Examples are long term use, often 10 or more years in the field, low power radio, etc.
Such challenges should be taken seriously while designing. If not they can turn into really expensive lessons in humility. So make sure you have your bases covered in your Board of Directors.
IoT - INSURANCE RELATED
KPIcure was hired as external consultancy to support a large Danish insurance company with their IoT ambitions.
I have been privileged to be supporting one of Denmark’s biggest Insurance agencies in charting a course through the multiple uses of IoT sensors and meters, to improve customer service and elevate the Insurance business to new heights.
Bringing knowledge about established players and intellectual property rights in the IoT domain will hopefully shorten time-to-market and enable intelligent use of existing data, while also exploring new solutions through selective partnering.
